~*~*~*~*~
“Here we are,” he shoved his hands deep in his pockets. “There’s nothing here.” Charisma said, glaring at him. “Sure there is,” he shrugged. “You have to open your eyes.” “I surprised you can see with all that hair in your face!” she hissed at him. “I can see just fine,” he flipped his hair out of his face real quick, and then pulled it down again. “Just let me give you a haircut, for the love of all that remains unholy!” she shouted. “You know what? I’ll cut my own damn hair if you’ll shut up about it.” He picked up a pair of scissors from thin air and was about to cut a big chunk of his hair off. “Let me do it!” she yelled, grabbing the scissors from him. “Wait—where the hell did you get these?” she hissed at him. “The shelf right there,” he pointed to the air and Charisma thought she was losing it. “Yeah, whatever,” she snapped her fingers and the boy’s hands flew to his head. “What did you do—?” he pulled on his hair, realizing it was suddenly short. “I hate magic,” he growled, looking at his hair scattered around his feet. “Look at what you did. You cut off all of my hair.” “I think you look hott,” she winked at him. “You thought I was hott before,” he scoffed. “No difference in that department.” “You look hotter now,” she corrected herself. “And just when I thought I couldn’t get any hotter,” he rolled his eyes. “You have a mirror on you?” “I didn’t think you were one of vanity.” Charisma handed him a mirror from her pocket. “You’re going to talk to me about being vain? You keep a mirror that size of an almanac in your pocket.” He looked at himself in the mirror and blinked a couple times. “Shut up and look at yourself.” Charisma growled. He took in his eyes first, he hadn’t seen them in so long he practically forgot what color they were. They were gray, like silver, and his eye brows were curved inward as he frowned. “What did you do?” he asked, looking away from the mirror before staring back at it. “I cut your hair.” She stated. | His hair was cut short, and cropped so it was out of his face and slightly pointed at the tip. The dark coloring contrasting less with his pale skin now that it was out of his face. He ran a hand through it, and sighed. “I liked it better long,”
“I can change it back.” She said, lifting her hand. “And go back to complaining about it? No thanks. I get enough of that from the single moms at the grocery store.” He rolled his eyes. “You’ve got a lot of snappy comebacks for a homeless guy.” She glared at him. “Homeless? Listen, if I wanted a home I’d be able to get one,” he stated. “I can seduce you to the moon and back, and you wouldn’t even know it.” “Prove it,” she hissed. “But what would be the fun in that?” he sneered. “Besides, you’re too smart for my tricks, like you said. So maybe it wouldn’t work, and I’d waste the time I could be using to do something that I actually want to do.” “A waste of time? Excuse me?” she crossed her arms over her chest and glared at him. “Not something you want to do?” “Yes, it’d be a waste of my time because you said it wouldn’t work on you. Instead I could use the time it would take to seduce you to continue my search,” he shrugged. “I will enjoy those few seconds advance.” “A few seconds?” she hissed angrily. “What makes you think I’d want to do you anyway?” “You said you would do me,” he said calmly. “That’s why you wanted me to pull down my pants when we first met.” “I did not!” “You don’t think I saw that look on your face when I threatened to pull them down?” he half laughed-a short and fake sound. “You dig me.” “I don’t ‘digyou’. At all.” She glared at him, almost lying through her teeth. “So now I’m not sexy enough for you, is that it?” “No, you’re still really sexy—wait a minute!” she shouted. “I don’t have a minute,” he stated. “But continue.” “You tricked me.” “How’d I trick you exactly? I thought you said my tricks—” he started. “Shut the hell up!” she shouted. “Maybe later,” he shrugged. |
